Faridabad, 11 May, 2024 : In response to the summer season, the Faridabad Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory targeted at CNG vehicle drivers, aimed at ensuring their safety on the roads. Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic, Usha, emphasized the importance of proactive measures to mitigate the risks associated with CNG vehicles during this time. The advisory, comprising ten key points, emphasizes adherence to safety protocols and government guidelines. It includes recommendations such as regular hydro testing of CNG cylinders, abstaining from smoking while driving, and maintaining a functional fire extinguisher in vehicles for emergency situations. Drivers are also encouraged to use only company-fitted CNG kits, conduct regular inspections of vehicle wiring, and prioritize cylinder leakage testing to prevent gas leaks. Adhering to manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules, utilizing warranty-covered CNG kits, and taking periodic rest breaks for long-distance journeys are also emphasized. Additionally, strict adherence to guidelines at CNG pumps, including refraining from smoking and following proper fueling procedures, is highlighted. Through these measures, the Faridabad Traffic Police aims to promote road safety and reduce the incidence of accidents involving CNG vehicles, particularly during the summer months, urging motorists to integrate these guidelines into their driving practices for a safer commute.
