“Commendation and Celebration: DANIPS Probationer Officers, Batch No.23, Step into Service with Pride”

New Delhi, 13 April, 2024 –Today, on April 12, 2024, the Passing out Parade of the 23rd batch of DANIPS officers was conducted at Delhi Police Academy, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi. These officers took their oath in a vibrant ceremonial parade, marking the successful completion of their basic training.

Sh. Sanjay Arora, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi as the chief guest took the salute of the marching contingents. The parade was attended by senior officers of the Delhi Police.


Among the seven DANIPS officers who passed out, two were women. All officers possess a strong educational background and are proficient in technology, with six holding B.Tech degrees and one holding an LLB. They hail from various states across India, including Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Delhi.


Ms. Chhaya Sharma, IPS, the Special Commissioner of Police, Training, Delhi, extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, other police officers, media representatives, and guests, including the family members of DANIPS Officers. She congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of training and emphasized the diverse skill set they acquired during their training period. They were not only trained in Laws but also in Cyber Forensic, Intelligence Gathering, Drone Technology, Forensic Science, Law & Order Arrangements etc., They were also trained in the New Criminal Laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA).

For skill enhancement they were attached with organizations/institutions Intelligence Bureau, Boarder Security Force, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C, MHA), IFSO and Rashtriya Raksha University which awarded the officers a Post Graduate Diploma in Police Administration & Investigation,. “All Round Best” & “First in Indoor” officer trainee award conferred to ACP Manoj Kumar and “First in Outdoor” trophy awarded to ACP Sonu Kumar.

During the ceremony, all DANIPS Probationers were administered an oath of public service as Police Officer by Sh. Asif Mohd. Ali, Jt. Director/DPA.


Mr. Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, congratulated all the passed out DANIPS officers and emphasized their responsibility to serve the community with honesty, diligence, and compassion. He encouraged them to stay updated on the latest technological advancements in forensic science and law enforcement, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence and cybercrime. He expressed confidence that the probationers would excel in their assignments and contribute significantly to overall policing in the capital city. He flagged stars to all 7 passed out officers in a pipping ceremony.

Lastly, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the dedication of the Delhi Pollice Academy in preparing the probationers for the challenges ahead.
