Eye Check-Up Camp Organized at Police Lines Sector-30

Faridabad, January 5, 2025 -An eye check-up camp was organized on Sunday at Police Lines Faridabad under the aegis of the Rural Journalists Association in collaboration with Tara Eye Hospital. The camp provided free eye check-ups, distribution of spectacles, and eye treatment. Dr. Ramesh Chandra Mishra, IPS, Retired DGP of Haryana as the chief guest, while Rajesh Duggal, Joint Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, as the special guest inaugurated the camp.

Several dignitaries were present during the event, including Girish Chandra Sharma, Professor Dr. M.P. Singh, Veerbhan Sharma, Mukesh Vashisht, Kalpana Goyal (Founder and President, Tara Foundation), Sunil Jangra, Gurmeet Singh Deol, Rameshwar Tara Eye Hospital staff, police personnel, and their family members. Around 200 police personnel and their family members availed themselves of the free services offered during the camp.

Dr. Ramesh Chandra Mishra, IPS (Retd.), emphasized the significance of service to others. He said, “There is no greater religion than helping others, and no greater deed than relieving someone’s pain. The objective of this camp is to provide medical services to the public, and through such initiatives, both religion and duty are fulfilled. The initiative by Tara Eye Hospital to offer free eye check-ups and distribute spectacles to police personnel is commendable. For a prosperous society, we must support one another.”
