S.S. Banga honored his late mother Harjinder Kaur Banga, distributed plants under ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ initiative as Prasad

Faridabad , 7 September , 2024: Renowned as Haryana’s Tree Man, S.S. Banga honored his late mother, Harjinder Kaur Banga, by distributing one thousand plants to promote environmental protection and awareness. An Ardas (prayer service) was held at Sector 15 Gurudwara in memory of the late Harjinder Kaur Banga, which saw a significant turnout of representatives from the social, religious, political, and industrial sectors from Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and Faridabad. All present paid their respects to the late Harjinder Kaur Banga, a devout and nature-loving woman. Following the prayer service, as part of the Mahaprasad, the Banga family, including Sardar G.S. Banga, Sardar S.S. Banga, and Sardar H.S. Banga, distributed plants in her memory.

S.S. Banga explained that his mother and nature are interconnected. It was his mother who introduced him to the beauty of trees, which gradually became his passion. Planting trees, he believes, is akin to nurturing life itself. S.S. Banga has undertaken several notable initiatives in the field of environmental conservation, including organizing a “tree procession” to raise awareness about planting, preserving, and nurturing trees.
