Faridabad Police resolves 704 complaints of Cyber crime; 43 persons nabbed; ₹1.31 Crore and 17 Laptops Seized

Faridabad July 27 2024 : In a major crack down against cyber crime; Faridabad Police has resolved 704 complaints between July 19-25. The cyber crime operations led to arrest of 43 persons while ₹1.31 Crore and 17 Laptops along with 16 Headphones have been seized. Entire operation was carried under the direction of Police Commissioner, Rakesh Kumar Arya and the guidance of DCP Cyber Crime Jasleen Kaur and the teams from all three Cyber Police Stations in Faridabad.

In this significant action, 704 complaints were resolved, resulting in a refund of ₹5,06,222 and a seizure of ₹1,34,445 from bank accounts. The arrested suspects include Mohammad Saadik, Nusrat Ali aka Guddu, Chandra Mohan, Vikram Singh, Arpit Sharma, Kartik, Farzad Ali, Kuldeep Kumar, Raju Kumar, Manish Kumar, Yogendra Kumar, Kartikey Singh, Siddharth Singh, Ethel Gulati, Yash Taneja, Avidip, Chirag, Hemant Tiwari, Rohitas, Lavi Googlan, Dhananjay Kumar, Rakesh, Pradeep Kumar, Aapsan, Aman Raj, Javier, Nitin Sharma, Charandeep Singh, Vinod Ram, Nishant Goswami, Amit, Raju, Sanchon Pattanon, Aadarsh Kumar, Alwish, Nasir Alam, Vipul, and females Sana, Nisha, Yengerkumla, Chumbheni Kokon, Raksha Tripathi, and Deepika. These individuals were arrested from Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, and other locations .The Cyber Police revealed various types of fraud and scams, including online job frauds, stock market investment frauds, customer care frauds, loan frauds, blackmailing with obscene videos, and QR/UPI scams.

Faridabad Police has issued an advisory for the citizens for prevention of Cyber Crimes .These include:
Never download untrusted apps or links and avoid sharing personal banking information with unknown individuals.
Stock Market Investment Fraud: Be cautious of offers promising high returns on stock market investments.
