Haryana: Safidon Crime Investigation Agency of Jind district recovered about nine quintals of Poppy Pod and poppy Husk from two accused

In Haryana, the Safidon Crime Investigation Agency of Jind District has arrested two individuals with approximately 9 quintals (898 kg) of poppy pods and poppy husk. The recovered contraband is estimated to be worth between 37 to 40 lakh rupees.

The arrested accused are Sundarpal alias Sindar, a resident of Ghabdan village in Sangrur district, and Rinku Singh, from Badrukha village in the same district of Punjab. They were currently residing in a rented house in Babar Mohalla, Rohtak, and had rented another house near Nirjan village where they stored the poppy pods and husk for smuggling.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rohtas Dhull, acting on information, a search was conducted at the house of Suresh in Nirjan village under the supervision of Duty Magistrate Devendra Kumar. During the search, 8 plastic sacks were found containing 7 sacks of poppy pods and 1 sack of poppy husk. Additionally, 60 sacks of poppy husk were found in another room.
