Faridabad , 29 June, 2024 -Banga spoke about the suggestions to uplift minorities of the country
Sardar Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Hon’ble Chairman NMC is on an extensive ‘Nation Wide Tour’ to address the concerns and grievances of citizens of the Minority communities.
As a part of his endeavor the Hon’ble Chairman visited Kaithal, Haryana on 17th of this month, where he interacted with Sikh representative from several districts in Haryana followed by a meeting with the representatives of the District Administration as also SP Kaithal.
There is a vacuum of local Sikh Leadership in the State of Haryana and surprisingly no Central Sikh leader has approached Sikhs of Haryana to discuss their problems or make efforts to resolve the same. The estimated Sikh population in the State of Haryana is over 15 lacs. This is a sizable population without an acceptable leadership, without representation in government, concerns in the Gurudwara affairs, Sikhs in Haryana are emotionally exhausted and feel used. Endeavors need to be made to embrace the community, promote Sikh religion, Sikh way of life, focus on education and employment opportunities for young generation and representation of Sikhs in Government.
It is a well-known fact that Sikhs are a respectable minority of India, having contributed immensely for the freedom of the country and to protect it.
Keeping in view the Sikh sentiment, a meeting was called at ‘National Commission for Minorities’ office in New Delhi on Wednesday in which Sikh representatives from Haryana were also invited. MD of Victora Industries Pvt Ltd, SS Banga, renowned industrialist from Faridabad was also among the special invitees. During the meeting, Banga addressed the gathering and underlined important suggestions for upliftment of the minority communities.
