Gautam Buddha Nagar, 26 November 2024- The adoption day of the Indian Constitution, 26th November, was celebrated as Constitution Day at the Collectorate Auditorium led by the District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma. Floral tributes were paid to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The District Magistrate administered the pledge of the Constitution’s Preamble to the officials and employees at the event.
All officials and employees gathered at the Collectorate Auditorium watched and listened to the live broadcast of the program at Lok Bhawan, Lucknow, under the leadership of the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
During a symposium, the District Magistrate said the Indian Constitution is the best in the world. It is the result of years of dedication by revolutionary freedom fighters and great personalities. The Constitution’s ability to embrace changes with time is vital for its dynamism. He emphasized the Preamble as the soul of the Constitution and urged everyone to not only be aware of their fundamental rights but also perform their duties with integrity and dedication.
The DM encouraged all officials and employees to uphold the essence of the Constitution in their duties, avoid any discrimination towards petitioners visiting offices, and work towards resolving their issues impartially. He underlined the importance of maintaining national unity and integrity, asserting that national interest should always remain a priority.
Acting Chief Development Officer Shiv Pratap Parmesh, Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Atul Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Manglesh Dubey, City Magistrate Vivekanand Mishra, Deputy Collector Ved Prakash Pandey, Senior Treasury Officer Shikha Gupta, District Entertainment Tax Officer JP Chand, Assistant Commissioner (Food) Sarvesh Mishra, District Supply Officer Om Hari Upadhyay, and District Program Officer Poonam Tiwari, along with other district-level officials and employees attenfed the event.
Similarly, under the guidance of the District Magistrate, Constitution Day was also celebrated in various government offices, institutions, educational establishments, and schools across the district.
