New Delhi : India’s defense exports soared by 78 percent in the first quarter of 2024-25 compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. The Defence Ministry reported that exports reached ₹6,915 crore in the first quarter of 2024-25, up from ₹3,865 crore in the same quarter last year.
In a social media post, Defence spokesperson A. Bharat Bhushan Babu emphasized that this significant increase highlights the government’s unwavering commitment to advancing self-reliance and innovation in the defense sector.
He noted that this growth is a testament to the effectiveness of the policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s defense manufacturing capabilities and boosting its global standing in the industry. The Ministry also credited the collaborative efforts of public and private sector enterprises for driving this impressive growth, positioning India as a key player in the international defense market.
