Jammu and Kashmir : The Kathua Police today released sketches of four suspected terrorists reportedly sighted in various parts of the district. The police have announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh for each terrorist for actionable information leading to their capture. These terrorists were last seen in the remote areas of Malhar, Bani, and Seojdhar in the higher reaches of Kathua district.
A police spokesperson stated that anyone providing credible information will be suitably rewarded, with their identity kept strictly confidential to ensure their safety. This development follows a recent terrorist attack on July 8 in the Badnota area of Kathua, which resulted in the deaths of four army soldiers and injuries to six others.
Additionally, there has been a noticeable surge in terror attacks in parts of the Jammu region over the last three months, leading to the deaths and injuries of several security personnel. In response, the J&K Police, Army, CRPF, and other security agencies have been put on high alert, with search operations being intensified to counter these threats.
