BJP to Act Against Infiltrators After Forming Govt in Bengal: Amit Shah

Amit Shah on Tuesday made a strong political statement regarding West Bengal, asserting that a major political shift is on the horizon. He said that once the Bharatiya Janata Party comes to power in the state, strict measures will be taken against illegal infiltrators.

Addressing a public rally in Assam’s Patharkandi, the Union Home Minister stressed that India cannot be treated as an open shelter for illegal entrants. He underlined that safeguarding national interests and borders remains a top priority for the government.

During his speech, Shah also criticised the Congress party, accusing it of enabling illegal immigration in Assam’s Barak Valley region. He alleged that past policies allowed infiltrators to settle in large numbers, influencing the demographic balance in districts like Sribhumi, Silchar, and Cachar.

Shah expressed confidence that voters in West Bengal are ready for change. He stated that a BJP-led government would focus on strengthening law and order while ensuring stricter border control and internal security.
