Kheri Kalan, April 7, 2026: World Oral Health Month is being observed at CHC Kheri Kalan under the leadership of Dental Surgeon Dr Vandana Marya, with a strong focus on promoting awareness about oral hygiene among all age groups, especially pregnant women. The campaign began on March 20 and has been witnessing active community participation.
During the programme, a role play presentation was organised by nursing students of Lingaya’s institution under the guidance of Dr Vandana Marya. The activity aimed to educate pregnant women about the importance of maintaining regular tooth brushing habits during pregnancy and after delivery.
Special emphasis was placed on dispelling common myths and encouraging women to continue proper oral care during and after childbirth. Health experts highlighted that good dental hygiene plays a vital role in overall health and well being.
Children were also included in the awareness drive, where they were taught correct brushing techniques and the importance of maintaining oral hygiene from an early age. The interactive sessions helped in making the learning process engaging and effective.
The event also featured a selfie booth, where children and participants enthusiastically took part, making the programme both informative and enjoyable. The initiative successfully combined education with community engagement.
Officials stated that similar oral health activities will be conducted across nearby villages under the CHC Kheri Kalan outreach programme. The aim is to ensure that awareness reaches rural populations effectively.
Several health talks have already been delivered as part of the campaign, focusing on preventive care and the importance of regular dental checkups. The initiative is helping in spreading awareness among the general public.
The month long programme is scheduled to continue until April 20, with more activities planned to educate and encourage people to adopt better oral health practices.
