January 22, 2025: As part of National Road Safety Month (January 1–31, 2025), the Delhi Traffic Police joined hands with Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety.
Approximately 50 young volunteers from NYK participated in a training session conducted by the Traffic Police Officials at Qutub Minar. After the session, the volunteers, along with traffic police officers, took part in a road safety rally, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules.
Following the rally, the volunteers divided into two groups and worked at intersections such as Lado Sarai Red Light and Aurobindo Marg for approximately two hours. Here, they engaged directly with road users, educating them about safe driving practices and the significance of responsible road behavior.
Throughout January, these youth will continue their efforts by visiting various parts of Delhi to promote road safety and encourage the adoption of safer driving habits.
This initiative highlights the collective commitment of Nehru Yuva Kendra and the Delhi Traffic Police to fostering a culture of road safety and ensuring safer roads for everyone.
