The Impressive TimesGorakhpur, May 10 , 2024 : A 40-year-old woman and her minor daughter were killed by her husband allegedly over a family
dispute in the Mail area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Friday. Circle Officer (CO) Barhaj Aditya Kumar said that Babloo Kumar, a resident of Vishauli Mafi village, was an alcoholic and used to have scuffles with his wife Durgavati Devi very often. “On Thursday night, Babloo once again had an altercation with Durgavati in an inebriated state. During this, the accused hit his wife with a stone, killing her on the spot,” he said. He said that when the daughter of the couple, Priti (12), attempted to intervene, she too was attacked with stones and killed by Babloo. The accused, Babloo Kumar, has been arrested, and
the matter is being investigated further,” he said.
