NEW DELHI, 27 MAY: Half yearly meeting of the State Level Advisory Body of Senior Citizens was held today on 27.05.2025 at 11.00 AM under the chairmanship of Shri Sagar Preet Hooda (IPS), Spl.CP/SPUWAC at Vimarsh Hall, Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, Delhi. The meeting was attended by all 15 member senior citizens from districts, the Jt.CP, Addl.CP & Addl. DCP of SPUWAC and DCsP/Addl.DCsP of the districts of Delhi along with officers from Senior Citizens Cell of districts.
The member senior citizens shared their experiences and suggestions in the meeting and appreciated the hard work and deep sense of responsibility of Delhi Police towards the grievances of senior citizens at district & police station level.
The Spl.CP/SPUWAC emphasized that Delhi Police consistently strives to take good care of safety & security of senior citizens and take desired preventive measures through cyber awareness programmes, regular meetings by officers at various levels, home visits by beat staff & telephonic contacts by senior citizen cells. District DCsP were directed to hold regular quarterly meetings at District level & monthly meetings at police station level, conduct special drives to register new senior citizens, complete the pending security audit of senior citizens with follow up action, ensure regular home visits to senior citizens by beat/division staff, carry out regular cyber security awareness programmes for senior citizens and complaint of senior citizens above the age of 70 years be dealt with at their place. He directed all the police officers to deal with the complaints/issues related to senior citizens on priority basis with great sensitivity. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Addl.DCP/SPUWAC.
