Faridabad , 27 December 2024- Holy Child Public School, Sector 75, celebrated its much-anticipated Annual Sports Day, “Khelo HCPSians 2024,” on 25th December 2024. The event was marked by vibrant festivities and enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and staff alike.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Bhim Singh Ji, a legendary veteran athlete and esteemed Arjuna Awardee and the esteemed guest, Col. S.K. Rajpurohit Ji. Adding to the significance to the event were Directors of Holy Child Public School Mr. Saket Bhatia and Ms. Rupali Bhatia.
The program commenced with a grand opening ceremony, where the Chief Guest, along with the Director Sir, Madam, and other dignitaries, released balloons, symbolizing the spirit of sportsmanship and unity. This was followed by an Oath-Taking Ceremony and a spectacular March Past, showcasing the discipline and synchronization of the young participants.
Students from Grades I to V presented an array of enthralling performances, including Yoga demonstrations, hula hoop drills, karate moves, and gymnastics, leaving the audience spellbound with their precision and energy. Adding a touch of cultural richness, students also presented an exquisite performance of India’s classical dance forms, a beautiful tribute to the nation’s vibrant heritage. These dances captivated the audience with their expressive gestures, rhythmic movements, and storytelling, seamlessly blending art and tradition into the sports celebration.
The event also featured a variety of fun-filled races for the little stars of Grades I and II, such as the Butterfly Race, Octopus Race, and Hurdle Race, bringing smiles to everyone present. Students from Grades III to V competed in athletic events, displaying their vigor, agility, and competitive spirit.
Adding to the excitement, parents enthusiastically participated in specially organized races, proving that age is no barrier to fitness and fun. Their active involvement added a delightful dimension to the celebration.
The highlight of the day was the announcement of Thimayya House as the overall champion, securing the coveted Best House Trophy.
Winners across various categories were awarded medals by the Chief Guest, who, in his address, commended the students for their outstanding performances. He emphasized the significance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Shri Bhim Singh Ji also encouraged parents to support their children in pursuing sports, highlighting its role in holistic development.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, sung in unison, encapsulating the essence of unity and pride.
