Rakesh Kumar Arya, former Commissioner of Police expressed gratitude towards people of Faridabad

In his farewell address, he conveyed thanks to the citizens, administrative officials, media persons and the fellow police personnel of Faridabad for their co- operation

Faridabad, 19 August 2024: Rakesh Kumar Arya, former commissioner of police Faridabad, while handing over is charge to the new incumbent for the post, expressed his gratitude to the citizens of Faridabad for their co-operation. He also extended his thanks to the administrative officials, media persons and his fellow personnel of Faridabad police for their support in making him a successful officer during his tenure at Faridabad. He has been transferred to head-quarters at Panchkula on a promotional posting as Inspector General of Police, Administration and Law and Order. Police spokesperson informed the major achievements of Arya starting with organizing 37th International Surajkund Crafts Mela successfully with arrangements of never before security arrangements in the Mela. In the month of April the conference of DGP/IGP was very well organised under his supervision. During his tenure in an innovative activity he joined hands with the RED DOT Foundation, Mumbai and got identified more than 300 hot spots that were danger points for women. He got CCTV installed on these hot spots, beefed up the patrolling of Durga Shakti and the concerned police station and arranged workshops to spread awareness about crime against women. All this resulted in a sharp decline in the cases of criminal activities against women. Rakesh Kumar Arya was instrumental in applying effective control over the protests during the farmer’s agitation all around the district Faridabad. He was effectively instrumental in getting parliamentary elections completed peacefully in the year 2024. In order to spread awareness about road safety and cyber-crimes, he was instrumental in arranging a number of workshops and seminars in educational institutes, factories and other places. The spokesperson further informed that during the tenure of Rakesh Kumar Arya there was a visible decline in the cases of crimes in not only murders, attempted murders, Dacoity etc. On the front of arrest of most wanted criminals there was arrest of 18 most wanted criminals on which price was announced. He was effective in busting 55 gangs with the arrest of 101 accused and resolving 172 cases where the assets worth Rs. 1,22,68,550 rupees was also recovered from these accused. At the time of farewell, former commissioner of police Rakesh Kumar Arya said that in his tenure of one year he has received tremendous support from the citizens of Faridabad. He also made a special mention of media of Faridabad for their extraordinary support. He said that he is very thankful to the administration of Faridabad and the police force that has extended their full support to him and proved his tenure a successful one. He wished all the success to all the officials, staff and Faridabad police personnel for an effective role during the upcoming assembly elections.
