Faridabad , 6 July , 2024 : As the assembly elections draw near in Haryana, all BJP leaders are intensifying their efforts to ensure better outcomes for the state. In this context, senior BJP leader Shyam Sundar Kapoor of Faridabad raised the issue of regulating the city’s slums during a press conference held on Saturday. Kapoor demanded that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s BJP government regularize the slums in Faridabad. According to Kapoor, this move will improve the living standards of people who have been residing in these slums for years and enhance the state’s quality of living and happiness index.
Kapoor mentioned that their party’s government is already providing plots of 100-100 square yards to the needy under various schemes. Additionally, efforts have been made under the Ashiana scheme to provide flats to those slum dwellers who were relocated from high-risk areas or other projects. Now, Kapoor urged the BJP government to regularize all 65,000 slums in Faridabad in their current locations. However, he clarified that this demand is not politically motivated by the upcoming assembly elections.
Regarding MP Krishan Pal, Shyam Sundar Kapoor praised the Central Cooperative State Minister for transforming the meaning of politics through hard work, dedication, and skilled behavior. Kapoor also hinted at his candidacy for the legislative assembly while speaking with journalists, indicating that if the public demands it, they will certainly contest the elections.
