Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Executive President Hemant Soren is set to take oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand on July 7th. This follows the resignation of Chief Minister Champai Soren, who tendered his resignation to Governor C P Radhakrishnan, paving the way for Hemant Soren’s return to office. Hemant Soren had previously resigned from the Chief Minister’s post on January 31st of this year and subsequently faced legal issues related to a money laundering case.
The decision to appoint Hemant Soren as Chief Minister again was made during a meeting of the INDIA bloc MLAs, which includes members from JMM, Congress, and RJD parties.
