Rahul Gandhi’s remarks were expunged after he accused the BJP of dividing people along communal lines

Several portions of Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s speech on Monday have been expunged after he accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of dividing people on communal lines. The expunged sections reportedly included his remarks on Hindus, and criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP, and RSS, among other topics. Gandhi’s speech, which lasted approximately an hour and 40 minutes, saw significant interruptions and protests from the treasury benches, with PM Modi and several cabinet ministers interjecting multiple times. Home Minister Amit Shah specifically demanded an apology from Gandhi during the heated exchanges.
