Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed deep sorrow on Saturday over the tragic loss of five Indian Army jawans following a tank accident while crossing a river in Ladakh.
On his social media platform, Singh stated, “Deeply saddened at the loss of lives of five of our brave Indian Army soldiers in an unfortunate accident while getting the tank across a river in Ladakh.” He added, “We will never forget the exemplary service of our gallant soldiers to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The nation stands firm with them during this hour of grief.”
The accident occurred during a military exercise at Mandir Morh in the Daulat Beg Oldi area on Friday night, resulting in the deaths of the five soldiers.
