Delhi Traffic Police Celebrates International Women’s Day with Road Safety Awareness Programme

New Delhi : On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Delhi Traffic Police organized a special road safety awareness and engagement programme at Traffic Training Park Baba Kharak Singh Marg in collaboration with Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. and the Value Life Foundation. The event aimed to promote road safety awareness among women through interactive and engaging activities.

Approximately 150 women participants attended the programme, including personnel from Delhi Traffic Police, college students, and teachers from various educational institutions. The initiative focused on spreading awareness about road safety rules and regulations in an engaging and entertaining manner.
The programme featured several interactive activities such as road safety quizzes, a spin wheel game, and other fun learning modules designed to educate participants about safe road behaviour and traffic regulations. These activities encouraged active participation and helped reinforce important road safety messages in a lively and memorable way.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the celebration, the Delhi Police Orchestra Band delivered a lively musical performance that greatly entertained the audience and created an engaging environment for all participants. Their energetic performance added a cultural and festive touch to the programme, making the event even more memorable. To further enhance the celebratory spirit, activities such as mehndi, a selfie point, and other entertainment arrangements were also organized for the participants.

During the programme, participants were also presented with goodies by stakeholders from the CSR wing of Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., while winners of the quiz and other interactive activities were awarded attractive prizes, encouraging enthusiastic participation and reinforcing the road safety message.

The event was graced by Satya Vir Katara, Addl. Commissioner of Police (HQ) as the Chief Guest. ACP Parveen Kumar Traffic/HQ and Insp. Manju Singh TI/RSC, Delhi Traffic Police were also present on the occasion, along with Mr. Sachin Baliyan, Marketing Division Head representatives from Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. and Ms. Shruti Adhav Founder Value Life Foundation, who expressed their continued commitment to supporting road safety initiatives and community outreach programs.
The programme highlighted the important role women play in promoting safe road practices within families and communities. Through such collaborative initiatives, Delhi Traffic Police continues to strengthen its commitment to spreading road safety awareness and building a culture of responsible road usage among citizens.
