Baaghi 4 Box Office Day 4: Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt Film Dips, Nears ₹50 Crore Worldwide

Mumbai, September 9 : The fourth installment of the Baaghi franchise, starring Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt, has slowed down at the box office after a modest opening weekend. Directed by A Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film has earned ₹49 crore worldwide in its first four days.

According to Sacnilk, Baaghi 4 collected ₹35.75 crore net and ₹42.75 crore gross in India. Overseas markets contributed ₹6.25 crore, pushing the total to just shy of the ₹50 crore milestone. The film recorded an expected dip on Monday after its opening weekend.

While Baaghi 4 opened at ₹17.15 crore worldwide on Friday, it lags significantly behind its predecessor Baaghi 3, which earned ₹26.50 crore on its first day in 2020. By the end of its opening weekend, Baaghi 4 stood at ₹42.50 crore, whereas Baaghi 3 had amassed ₹81 crore.

The lukewarm reviews and weaker-than-expected collections suggest an uphill climb for the action franchise at the box office. With weekday numbers traditionally slower, trade analysts believe the film may struggle to match the benchmarks set by its earlier editions.

About Baaghi 4

The film follows Ronny (Tiger Shroff), a man haunted by memories of a woman (Harnaaz Sandhu) he believes he loved, while those around him insist he is hallucinating. Sanjay Dutt plays Chacko, the antagonist who challenges Ronny in his quest for the truth. Sonam Bajwa also features in the film.

Like the earlier parts of the franchise, Baaghi 4 draws inspiration from South Indian cinema, with its storyline loosely based on the 2013 Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu.

The Baaghi franchise, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, has seen varying box office fortunes since the first film released in 2016. While Baaghi and Baaghi 2 became major hits, Baaghi 3 underperformed due to its release amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Baaghi 4 now facing stiff competition and mixed reviews, the coming weekdays will determine whether the film can cross significant box office milestones.
