17 Injured in Italy Train Crash as Two Trains Collide in Northeast Italy

Rome, Dec 11, 2023– A train collision in northeast Italy late Sunday resulted in at least 17 people sustaining injuries, according to reports from Milan-based daily Corriere della Sera. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. local time (1920 GMT) on the Bologna-Rimini railway line in the city of Faenza, causing a disruption in railway traffic in the area.

All 17 individuals involved in the crash sustained light injuries, and authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
