Hyderabad : The International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO) successfully concluded its National Gymnastics Championship at The Gaudium School in Hyderabad, bringing together young gymnasts from 115 schools across India for a three-day sporting event.
The championship featured competitions in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics across four age categories—Under-11, Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19—for both boys and girls. The event provided school-level athletes with a national platform to demonstrate their strength, flexibility, precision and technical skills in international-standard facilities.
Abhishek Saraswat, Administrative Head of ISSO, praised the athletes and highlighted the growing popularity of gymnastics in school sports. He said participation from 115 schools reflected increasing enthusiasm for the sport and reaffirmed ISSO’s commitment to nurturing young talent and creating structured pathways for athletes to excel at national and international levels.
Saraswat also thanked The Gaudium School for providing professional infrastructure, apparatus meeting International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) standards, and organisational support to ensure a safe and competitive environment for participating teams.
The championship concluded with a celebratory closing ceremony, during which medals and trophies were presented to individual and team achievers in recognition of their performances.
The event highlighted the importance of school-level sporting platforms in encouraging athletic excellence and supporting the development of emerging gymnastics talent across the country.
