The Impressive TimesFaridabad, September 13: Thousands of people participated in a mega health check-up and blood donation camp organised on Sunday at Daulat Ram Khan Dharamshala in the Badkhal Assembly constituency under the coordination of former Haryana Education Minister Seema Trikha. The camp was organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and as part of the “Seva Hi Sankalp” initiative commemorating 25 years of his public service. Around 315 units of blood were collected during the camp, while thousands of residents underwent health check-ups.
Medical teams from Sudha Rastogi Dental College, Accord Multispeciality Hospital, Faridabad, BK Hospital, Faridabad, Amrita Hospital, Bhatia Sevak Samaj and Rotary Blood Bank participated in the camp. Rotary Club Faridabad, Aastha Rotary Club, Faridabad Excellence Rotary Club, Aravali Rotary Club Faridabad, East Keval, Prem Foundation, We Care Paramedics Academy Faridabad and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, along with several social and religious organisations, also extended their support. There was considerable enthusiasm among the participants, many of whom openly appreciated the work carried out by Seema Trikha during her tenure as MLA from Badkhal and as a minister in the Haryana government.

Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel encouraged the blood donors and said blood donation was a noble act as the blood donated by an individual could help save someone’s life. He said such initiatives also promote social harmony, brotherhood and a spirit of affection among people and should be organised regularly. He added that free health check-up camps provide significant health benefits to the public and thanked former minister Seema Trikha for organising the event.
Minister of State Rajesh Nagar said blood donation was one of the greatest forms of service, as donated blood could provide vital support to pregnant women, victims of road accidents and patients suffering from serious diseases such as thalassemia.
Former Education Minister and organiser of the programme Seema Trikha thanked the thousands of people who attended the camp and expressed gratitude for the affection and support shown towards her. She said she could never repay the love and goodwill she had received from the people, but would remain dedicated throughout her life to the development of the area and the welfare of its residents. She said that during her tenure as MLA and minister, the development of the Badkhal constituency had remained her primary focus, while serving the people honestly and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood had been her objective. She added that although she was no longer an MLA, the BJP government was still in power in Haryana and she would continue working for public welfare and remaining engaged in service to the people.
