CM Nayab Singh Saini Releases Massive Welfare Funds for Women, Students and Families in Haryana

Women, students, pensioners, and economically weaker families receive major relief through direct benefit transfers

Chandigarh, May 8, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini distributed substantial financial assistance to beneficiaries under multiple government welfare schemes during a special event held in Chandigarh, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to social security, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development.

Under the seventh installment of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, the Chief Minister released Rs 205 crore directly into the bank accounts of 9.76 lakh women beneficiaries. The scheme continues to serve as a significant initiative aimed at strengthening the financial independence of women across the state.

In a major social security measure, Rs 1,146.73 crore was transferred to 35.62 lakh beneficiaries under 18 different social security pension schemes. These pensions provide critical support to senior citizens, widows, persons with disabilities, and other eligible groups.

Focusing on education, the government also distributed Rs 100.45 crore in scholarships to 64,923 students, offering vital financial assistance to support their academic pursuits.

Under the Dayalu Yojana, Rs 215.29 crore was credited to the accounts of 5,677 families, extending economic support to families in need and strengthening their financial stability.

Additionally, 11.23 lakh women beneficiaries received Rs 38.54 crore as gas cylinder subsidy, providing relief from household expenses and supporting affordable access to essential resources.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the Haryana government remains fully dedicated to the welfare of every section of society and is ensuring transparent delivery of benefits directly to eligible citizens. He emphasized that such welfare initiatives are playing a vital role in empowering vulnerable sections and accelerating the state’s vision of balanced and inclusive growth.
