New Delhi : The week-long anti-drug awareness campaign, “Nasha – Not Cool,” by Delhi Police, has successfully culminated after extensive outreach across the national capital. The campaign witnessed active participation from multiple sections of the society.
On the culminating day, felicitation ceremonies were held across East, New Delhi, West, and South-West districts. The events were held in the presence of senior officers of the districts and celebrated the collective contributions of schools, NSS officers, volunteers, teachers, and police personnel for their role in the campaign.

The ceremonies recognised the efforts of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers who played a significant role in spreading awareness against drug abuse through impactful and educational social media content using the campaign’s dedicated hashtags. The volunteers honoured for their exemplary contributions include: Babu Rao Ratnesh, Gopi Kumar, Haroon, Yashika Sharma, Shifa Rizvi, Gun Thakur, Sudhanshu Kumar, Aniket Raj, Sabah Nizami, Shehran Khan, Amir Khan, Shakib Khan, Aditi Singh, Sahil, Mansheel Shehrawat, Aditya Kumar Pandey, Palak Kapoor, Bharat, and Yishu Bhaskar.

Throughout the campaign, sustained efforts were made to engage multiple stakeholders, including medical professionals, chemist shops, educational institutions, youth volunteers. The medical fraternity extended significant support to the campaign. Eminent medical experts contributed by disseminating awareness messages through various platforms, including social media. Chemist shop owners and pharmacists across markets and hospitals actively supported the initiative by displaying awareness materials and wearing anti-drug message armbands.
The campaign also received strong encouragement and support from prominent personalities in the media, film, and sports fraternities, further amplifying its reach and impact. Recently, Sh. Sanjay Dutt from the Indian film industry extended his support.
The campaign adopted a comprehensive, multi-channel approach, incorporating school and college programmes, radio jingles, social media engagement, and on-ground outreach through the Jansampark Vahan, which disseminated impactful audio-visual messages across the city.

With the successful culmination of “Nasha – Not Cool,” Delhi Police reiterates its commitment to continuing efforts against drug abuse and urges citizens to remain aware and actively involved in encouraging a healthier, drug-free society.
