‘Nasha – Not Cool’ Campaign Gains Momentum: Flash Mobs & Cycling Rally Drive Anti-Drug Message in Delhi

New Delhi- Continuing the week-long Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign titled “Nasha – Not Cool,” the Day 3 was marked with impactful public engagement activities, including Anti-Drug Flash Mobs and a Cycling Event, aimed at promoting a drug-free and healthy lifestyle.

As part of the campaign, Anti-Drug Awareness Flash Mobs were held at prominent public locations including Central Park, Connaught Place; Kartavya Path in New Delhi District; Select Citywalk Mall, Saket in South District. These performances attracted significant weekend crowds and effectively communicated the campaign’s core message.


Through lively and engaging performances, the harmful effects of drug abuse were conveyed and it was encouraged to make better, healthier choices in life. Similar events were also held in the North-West, West & Dwarka districts.

In addition, an early morning cycling event was organized in New Delhi District to further strengthen the campaign’s message of healthy living. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 400 individuals, including police personnel, youth, volunteers, and members of the public. The cycling rally commenced from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, proceeded towards India Gate (C-Hexagon) and surrounding areas, and culminated at the National Stadium.

The campaign has also received strong encouragement and support from prominent personalities from the film and sports fraternity. Notable figures include Sh. Anil Kapoor and Sh. Kamal Khan from the Indian film industry, Ms. Rani Rampal, former captain of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team and distinguished former Indian cricketers, Sh. Virender Sehwag, Sh. Zaheer Khan, and Sh. Suresh Raina have amplified the message of campaign.

The campaign continues to spread awareness through Street Plays (Nukkad Natak), Radio Jingles, Social Media and Cinema Halls.

Furthermore, the Delhi Police Jansampark Vahan, equipped with audio-visual facilities, is actively disseminating anti-drug messages across the city through short films.

Delhi Police urges all citizens to actively participate in and support this important initiative in the days ahead.
