Raahgiri Day Returns to Delhi with #SundaysOnCycle to Promote Fitness, Clean Air, and Safer Streets

Raahgiri Day returns to Delhi on March 15 at Connaught Place under the #SundaysOnCycle initiative, promoting cycling, fitness, road safety, and clean air with support from Fit India Movement, NDMC, and Delhi Police.

New Delhi | 13 March- The spirit of active and people-friendly streets returns to the capital as Raahgiri Foundation, in partnership with the Fit India Movement, brings back Raahgiri Day under the nationwide #SundaysOnCycle initiative. The event will take place on 15 March from 7:00 AM onwards at Block-A, Connaught Place, inviting citizens to experience their streets through cycling, walking, fitness activities, and engaging community performances.
The initiative is being organised in collaboration with key government and institutional partners including the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Delhi Traffic Police, Delhi Police, and corporate partner Nagarro. Together, these organisations aim to promote healthier lifestyles while encouraging conversations around road safety, clean air, and responsible digital behaviour.

Sarika Panda Bhatt, Co-Founder and Trustee of the Raahgiri Foundation, Director – Nagarro added,

“Raahgiri Day reminds us that vibrant streets and shared public spaces and lifeline of the city. When citizens cycle, walk, and engage together, they experience firsthand how cleaner air, safer roads, and active mobility can transform the way our cities feel and function.”

The morning will feature cycling, walking, Zumba sessions, and a special street performance on road safety designed to engage citizens in meaningful dialogue on building safer and more sustainable cities.
The movement continues to serve as a powerful platform that transforms streets into vibrant public spaces, encouraging citizens to move more, pedal, breathe cleaner air, and collectively reimagine cities that prioritise people over traffic.
