No LPG Shortage in Country, Rumours Being Spread by Congress: Senior BJP leader Ajay Gaur

Senior BJP leader says fuel supply is sufficient and urges people not to believe misleading propaganda or crowd gas agencies

Faridabad, March 13: Faridabad: Former Political Advisor to Haryana’s former CM and Union Minister Manohar Lal, and Senior BJP leader Ajay Gaur said rumours about an LPG cylinder shortage in the country are false and being spread by the opposition.

He stated that despite tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran, the government is fully prepared and there is no shortage of LPG. In a press statement, he said there is no shortage of LPG cylinders in Haryana and the Petroleum Department has clarified that the country has sufficient fuel supplies.

He alleged that Congress is spreading false rumours as it cannot accept India’s progress. He added that PM Narendra Modi has also stated that there is no crisis in the supply of domestic cooking gas. Gaur claimed the situation is not a real shortage but an artificial crisis created through rumours and hoarding. He said before 2014 people had to wait for years for a gas connection, but after the Modi government came to power a system was created to deliver cylinders to households.

LPG coverage, he said, has increased from about 55 percent in 2014 to nearly 99 percent now. He said earlier gas connections were given through recommendations, while now they are provided quickly and transparently. He added that Congress has become issue-less and is spreading misinformation to stay politically relevant. He appealed to people not to believe misleading propaganda or gather outside gas agencies, assuring that LPG supply will continue smoothly to households.
