PM Modi Twists My ‘Shakti’ Remark, Alleges Rahul Gandhi

Congress Leader Accuses Prime Minister of Distorting Truth, Claims Modi Fears Truth

New Delhi, March 18,2024– Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, in the midst of criticism over his recent ‘Shakti’ remark, has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of distorting the meaning of his statement. Gandhi asserted that Modi’s attempts to twist his words only underscored the truth behind them.

In a social media post, Gandhi stated, “Modiji does not appreciate my words and persistently distorts their meaning. He is aware that my remarks hold truth. The ‘Shakti’ I referred to, against which the Congress is contending, is the façade of Modi ji.”

Gandhi elaborated that this ‘Shakti’ has ensnared the voice of India, its institutions, including the CBI, IT, ED, Election Commission, media, and industries. He criticized the government’s leniency towards corporate loan waivers juxtaposed with the plight of farmers driven to suicide over meager debts.

Furthermore, Gandhi alleged that under Modi’s governance, essential assets such as ports and airports are being relinquished while schemes like ‘Agniveer’ fail to inspire the country’s youth, breaking their spirits.

Highlighting media complicity, Gandhi accused it of perpetuating falsehoods at the behest of this ‘Shakti’. He contended that Modi, beholden to this power, implemented policies like GST disproportionately affecting the poor while neglecting inflation control.

Concluding his statement, Gandhi emphasized that the ‘Shakti’ he refers to is not religious but symbolic of corruption and deceit. He asserted that whenever he speaks against Modi, the latter’s “machine of lies” becomes unsettled and incensed.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Pawan Khera, in a video message, echoed Gandhi’s sentiments, alleging that the BJP, including PM Modi, has reacted vehemently since Gandhi’s critique of the “demonic power.”

Khera characterized the upcoming election as a battle between divine and demonic forces, expressing confidence in the victory of the “INDIA alliance” and Mother India.
