Delhi, December 2025 – Samanvay Library successfully hosted a special Talk Series on the occasion of National Mathematics Day, featuring the renowned Prof. Nandita Naraian as the Chief Speaker.
The event, titled “The Invisible Mathematics of Everyday Life”, explored the fascinating role of mathematics in our daily lives. Prof. Naraian, a respected retired professor from St. Stephen’s College, former DUTA President, and social activist, shared insights into the hidden mathematical patterns that shape our world.

A Mathematics Quiz was held, offering exciting prizes to the winners:
– 1st Prize: ₹500, Participation Certificate, and Samanvay Library Cup – Dev Ratan
– 2nd Prize: ₹500 and Participation Certificate – Aditya Meena
– 3rd Prize: ₹250 and Participation Certificate – Harsh

During her address, Prof. Nandita Narain expressed concerns about the current state of education, stating that the government’s policies, particularly the National Education Policy (NEP), have negatively impacted education and employment opportunities, leaving students struggling to find jobs.

The event was well-received, and the attendees appreciated the insightful talk and engaging quiz. The event concluded with high tea and a lively discussion.
