CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Distributes ₹1802 Crore Relief to Over 23.81 Lakh Farmers

“The pain of a farmer is the pain of the state. We will not allow our food providers to suffer alone,” said the Chief Minister.

Bhopal, October 22, 2025: In a significant step to support the state’s farming community, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the distribution of ₹1802 crore in relief aid to more than 23.81 lakh farmers affected by excessive rainfall, floods, pest attacks, yellow mosaic disease, and other natural calamities. This year’s relief amount is nearly three times higher than the ₹660.57 crore distributed in the previous financial year.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yadav said, “This year has brought many challenges for our farmers—from crop damage due to heavy rains and floods to pest infestations and disease outbreaks. Our government has stood by them every step of the way.” He added that the government has not only responded promptly but also ensured that no farmer is left behind in the distribution of aid.

Out of the total amount, ₹1623.51 crore has been given directly to farmers for crop losses, while ₹178.45 crore has been provided for damage to homes, livestock, and other losses due to natural disasters. This relief has been distributed under RBC 6(4) provisions and aims to restore the economic stability of affected farmers.

Dr. Yadav also highlighted past efforts, noting that ₹1590.74 crore was distributed in 2021–22, ₹726.15 crore in 2022–23, and ₹758.62 crore in 2023–24, showing a continued commitment to farmer welfare.

He further stated that the government has been proactive in ensuring long-term support through zero-interest loans, timely crop insurance, minimum support prices, and adequate irrigation and electricity. “The pain of a farmer is the pain of the state. We will not allow our food providers to suffer alone,” said the Chief Minister.

With this latest relief effort, the state government has once again reaffirmed its position as a strong ally of the agricultural community, aiming to build resilience and restore hope among farmers across Madhya Pradesh.
