Gaurav Khanna Emerges as Highest Paid Bigg Boss 19 Contestant, Earns ₹2.5 Lakh Per Episode

Mumbai, Sept 3, 2025 — TV actor Gaurav Khanna is making headlines for more than just his presence in the Bigg Boss 19 house. The Anupamaa star, who recently added another feather to his cap by winning Celebrity MasterChef, is reportedly drawing a staggering ₹2.5 lakh per episode, making him the highest-paid contestant of the season.

According to a report , Khanna is earning about ₹17.5 lakh per week from the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. He is said to have been among the last contestants to be finalised for the season and has also been promised a new show on either Star or Colors post his Bigg Boss stint.

Music composer Amaal Mallik comes next on the list, reportedly taking home ₹1.25 lakh per day, less than half of Khanna’s fee. Other contestants such as Awez Darbar and Ashnoor Kaur are earning around ₹6 lakh per week, while Pranit More and Mridul Tiwari are among the lower earners this season.

While Khanna’s paycheck is hefty, it still doesn’t surpass Pamela Anderson’s record on Bigg Boss 4, where she earned a jaw-dropping ₹2.5 crore for just three days, cementing her spot as the highest-paid contestant in the history of the show.

Inside the house, the drama has already escalated within two weeks of the season’s launch. A heated altercation between Farrhana Bhatt and Baseer Ali recently resulted in damaged personal belongings, with Baseer tossing Farrhana’s mattress into the swimming pool. Meanwhile, Kunickaa Sadanand lost her immunity after disqualification from a captaincy task, paving the way for Ashnoor Kaur to secure it instead.

The contestants have quickly aligned into camps. One group includes Gaurav Khanna, Abhishek Bajaj, Nagma Mirajkar, Farrhana Bhatt, and Mridul Tiwari, while Amaal Mallik, Zeishan Quadri, Baseer Ali, Nehal Chudasama, and Ashnoor Kaur appear to be working together. Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, Neelam Giri, and Pranit More form another faction, whereas Ashnoor Kaur and Natalia Stanoszek continue to maintain a neutral stance.

With sky-high salaries, fiery clashes, and shifting alliances, Bigg Boss 19 is already proving to be one of the most dramatic and talked-about seasons yet.
