New Delhi- Delhi Government’s Minister for Social Welfare, Ravinder Indraj Singh, on Saturday inaugurated the work of laying a new water pipeline for Majra Dabas and Budhanpur Majra located in Ward 31 of Nangal Thakran under the Bawana Assembly Constituency.

The Cabinet Minister said that water pipelines in several villages of Bawana are 35–40 years old, which has been affecting drinking water supply. All these dilapidated pipelines will be replaced. In villages and JJ colonies where pipelines have not yet been laid, the network will be extended to the last household so that every family gets access to clean drinking water.

The Social Welfare Minister further stated that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed that uninterrupted water and electricity supply must reach the villages of Delhi. Development of villages and JJ colonies is a top priority of the government.

Ravinder Indraj directed the Delhi Jal Board officials to replace the old pipelines with high-quality DI (Ductile Iron) pipelines and complete the work within three months. He also instructed them to ensure uninterrupted water supply along with the pipeline laying work and to restore the affected roads at the earliest. This project will benefit nearly 2,500 residents of these villages.
