New Delhi, 17 August 2025 – Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, congratulated C. P. Radhakrishnan, the Governor of Maharashtra, on being chosen as the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) candidate for the upcoming vice presidential election.
In a post on social media platform X, Shah lauded Radhakrishnan’s extensive public service, noting his remarkable contributions both as a parliamentarian and as governor of multiple states. He emphasized that these roles have allowed Radhakrishnan to effectively discharge constitutional responsibilities and set a high standard of governance and leadership.
Shah expressed confidence that Radhakrishnan’s wealth of experience, wisdom, and statesmanship would not only enhance the dignity of the Rajya Sabha but also help the Upper House achieve new milestones in parliamentary functioning and democratic governance.
