An elevated road will be constructed from the Delhi-Agra National Highway to DND-Faridabad-Ballabgarh Bypass KMP link

The Haryana government has allocated the work, costing approximately Rs. 163 crores

Chandigarh, March 4, 2024 – A meeting of the High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, in which approval of approximately Rs. 163 crores was given for the construction of an elevated road with service road from Delhi-Agra National Highway to DND-Faridabad-Ballabgarh Bypass KMP link. Besides this, approvals worth more than Rs. 2352 crores were given in the meetings of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC), Departmental High Powered Purchase Committee (DHPPC), and High Powered Workers Purchase Committee (HPWPC) for contracts and purchases of various items. After negotiations with various bidders in the meeting, approximately Rs. 74 crores were saved by determining the rates.

Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Energy Minister Sh. Ranjit Singh, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Devender Singh Babli, and Minister of State for Labor, Sh. Anoop Dhanak also remained present at the meeting. A total of 80 agendas were kept in the meeting, and approval was given to 76 agendas.

Government Girls College will be established in Mangali, Hisar

Approval was also given to the agenda for the construction of a government girls college in Mangali, Hisar district, in the meeting. This college will cost about Rs. 14 crores. In addition to this, approval was given to the construction of 2 high-level bridges on SYL and NBK canal on Nilokheri-Kharsa-Dhand Road in Nilokheri constituency, Karnal district, costing about Rs. 26 crores. Moreover, the extension of grain and Lakkar Mandi in Ellenabad, Sirsa district, costing about Rs. 10 crores, was also approved.

Accords approval for development works worth approximately Rs. 190 crores in GMDA

Approval was given in the meeting for development works worth approximately 190 crores under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA). This includes the construction of a 7.5-meter wide service road along Dwarka Expressway on both sides, drainage of stormwater, 33/11 kV substation for Dhanwapur STP, and works related to water treatment plants at Chandu Budhera and Basai. Additionally, the renovation and improvement work of the 18.24 MLD sewage treatment plant established in Sector-20, Panchkula district was also approved.

Approval was given for the construction of an additional Ranney well at Yamuna River near village Sultanpur, Palwal district, at a cost of about 20 crores. In addition, approval was given for various other works, including the construction of 1 STP under the Swarna Jayanti Mahagram Yojana in village Chhara, Jhajjar district, and the construction of additional storage tanks for canal-based water supply to 16 villages in Rewari district. Approval was also given for the construction of new rest houses in Hisar and Karnal, residential houses at the mini-secretariat, Charkhi Dadri, the construction of the Zila Parishad Bhawan, Rewari, the construction of Panchayat Bhawan, block office buildings, and staff quarters in Tohana.

Ankur Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Sh. AK Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Chairman, Power Utilities, Sh. PK Das, Commissioner and Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Director General, Supplies and Disposal Department, Sh. Mohammed Shayin, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd, Dr. Amit Agrawal and other senior officers also remained present on this occasion.
