IMD has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall over parts of central, northeast, and east India for the next four days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall in Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra for the next two days. Heavy rains have already caused waterlogging and flood-like conditions in several districts, including Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Pune.

Flight services at Mumbai airport were severely impacted, and both state legislature houses were adjourned due to travel difficulties. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has put state agencies on alert. Schools, colleges, and examinations have been suspended in affected areas. NDRF teams have been deployed in several districts​
