Assam flood situation becomes better, but 1.7 lakh people are still impacted

Assam’s flood situation improved as a result of decreasing rainfall and the main rivers’ water levels receding. A bulletin stated that the number of persons affected by the flooding had dropped to 1.7 lakh. People are reportedly impacted by the flood in the districts of Bajali, Barpeta, Cachar, Darrang, Goalpara, Kamrup, Karimganj, Nagaon, and Hojai, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
