Faridabad , 20 August , 2024 : On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, students of Vidyasagar International School tied rakhi to the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, and conveyed their best wishes. Four students from the school, along with the Principal and Coordinator, accompanied them. After meeting the President, the children were extremely delighted.
School Director Deepak Yadav mentioned that Vidyasagar International School organizes various programs for the overall development of its students, and meeting the nation’s leadership is a part of it. As part of this initiative, on Raksha Bandhan, students from the school—Harshita from class six, Mahi Tyagi and Aarush from class eight, and Arna from class nine—visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan. They met with the Hon’ble President Draupadi Murmu, along with their Principal Rekha Malik and Coordinator Pooja Sharma, and tied the rakhi.
The President warmly interacted with everyone and inquired about their well-being. The students found the experience with the President to be inspiring. They mentioned that despite holding the highest office in the country, President Murmu is very kind-hearted, and her smile gives them strength.
Director Deepak Yadav added that students of Vidyasagar International School have consistently had the opportunity to visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Over time, the students have met with three Presidents, including the current President Draupadi Murmu, the former President Ram Nath Kovind, and the previous President Pranab Mukherjee. Yadav noted that such activities help instill a sense of courage and respect in the children, which motivates them to strive for similar opportunities in the future.
It’s noteworthy that Vidyasagar International School operates two branches, one in Gharaunda, Greater Faridabad, and the other in Sector 2, Ballabhgarh.
