International Yoga Day Celebrations @DLFIA n Brahmakumaris #JP Malhotra

Faridabad, 15 June, 2024- DLF Industries Association organized “International Yoga Day 2024” celebrations on Saturday, the 15th June 2024 in association with Brahmakumaris Faridabad at TAP Dc Conference Hall. International Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world on 21st June 2024 to commemorate and instill importance of Yoga in our day to day life – said Mr. JP Malhotra President DLF Industries Association at the inaugural of Yoga Day Celebration. Collective celebrations are done to inculcate discipline and devotion, oneness and brotherhood amongst the participants.
DLF Industries Association has always been in the forefront to arrange and organize such community events to broad base and propagate the benefits such sustainable game changing events such as Tree Plantation, Sanitation & Cleanliness Drives, Free Health Checkup Camps, Blood Donation Camps Free Mammography Breast cancer Checkup for women employees of our members, Divine and Motivation lectures by best of eminent speakers. Only recently we have committed to Organize Awareness and Prevention of Cervical Cancer by supporting Free Vaccination for 200 girls/ women which would otherwise cost around Rs. 5000/- each.

Sister BK Poonam a noted Holistic Wellness Mentor and articulate motivational Speaker explained in details the benefits of Yoga to each and every individual. ‘Yoga is free’. You have to schedule your lifestyle be it exercise, food habits, controlling tempers, remaining cool and the like. To effectively reap benefits of Yoga, some lifestyle changes have to be evolved, Timings of when you get up, take food and go to sleep have to be tweaked. One should be a good listener and be humble and polite. Yoga teaches you all. Practical demonstration on meditation was a great learning. In fact it is big transformation of your personality and brings positive change in you and your surroundings. Supported by Yogacharaya Ms. Sharmil, it was an educative and eye opening event. Yogacharaya Ms. Sharmil dealt with health issues which come up when our staff and workforce sit on chairs for long duration resulting in back pain/ stiffen. Regular intermittent movement of all parts of body is essential.
Sister BK Poonam emphasized the need of staying close to nature, open atmosphere and with even mild exercise, can maintain good health by taking nature friendly simple and satvik food in just requisite quantity. ‘Yoga’ is one stop solution – as per our Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi.

Just to recollect it was in 2014 that ‘Yoga’ got Internal recognition and become a regular pursuit due to sincere efforts and diplomacy of Sh. Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India duly supported by yog guru Baba Ram Dev Ji.
The ‘International Yoga Day 2024’ by DLF Industries Association and Brahmakumaris was attended by more than 70 members of DLF Industries Association and their workforce.
Sri Ram Aggarwal Sr. Vice President DLFIA in his speech stressed the need to devote time for one’s own health, stay away from mobile besides practice yoga so that it becomes your habit.

Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hon’ble General Secretary DLF Industries Association expressed gratitude to all the participating companies. CA Mahesh Goel Treasurer assured the member that DLF Industries Association under the leadership of President Sh. JP Malhotra would keep on organizing such social impacting events at regular intervals.
