Radisson Blu Greater Noida hosts successful 18-km cyclothon for health and environment

Greater Noida, 2 June, 2024 : In a spirited celebration of World Bicycle Day, the Radisson Blu Greater Noida hosted the ‘Pedal for Tomorrow’ cyclothon on Sunday morning, aiming to promote environmental conservation and health awareness. Over 450 cyclists from Delhi-NCR participated in the event, riding with enthusiasm and purpose to highlight the importance of saving the environment. The 18-km cyclothon saw participants of all ages, from children to the elderly, showcasing immense enthusiasm. Flagging off the event, Satendra Singh Banga, the Managing Director of Victoria Hospitality Private Limited and popularly known as the ‘Tree Man’, emphasized the need to rethink our transportation choices to protect the environment.

“The sight of this cyclothon fills me with joy, as it proves that concern for environmental conservation and fitness has kept the craze for cycling alive in today’s times,” he remarked. Cyclists pedaled with great excitement along the 18-km route, which began at 6:15 am from the Radisson Blu Hotel in Greater Noida. The route included seven designated stops where the participants were warmly welcomed and cheered, reinforcing the event’s message of environmental awareness. The energy and enthusiasm of the youth were particularly noteworthy as they inspired onlookers with a meaningful message of environmental protection along the way.

Anirmal Sarkar, the General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, also joined in to encourage the cyclists, appreciating their commitment and passion for the cause. The event successfully merged the themes of fitness and environmental conservation, reminding everyone of the sustainable benefits of cycling. World Bicycle Day was thus marked by a vibrant community effort in Greater Noida, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to pedal for a healthier and greener tomorrow.
