Faridabad/Gharaunda: Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini honoured Rishabh Pal, a Class 12 student of Vidyasagar International School, Gharora, branch, following his selection for the Junior category of the World Powerlifting Championship.
CM Saini congratulated Rishabh and his parents during a special felicitation ceremony in Chandigarh and wished the young lifter success at the international level. He said achievements by young sportspersons were a matter of pride for Haryana and encouraged Rishabh to continue working hard to bring laurels to the country and the State.
Rishabh has previously represented India at the Asian Powerlifting Championship in China, where he won a silver medal in the Sub-Junior category after lifting 180 kg. He has also secured gold medals in the Sub-Junior category at the National Powerlifting Championships consecutively from 2022 to 2026.
His selection for the Junior World Powerlifting Championship marks another significant milestone in his sporting career. CM also felicitated his parents and acknowledged their contribution to his success.
CM Saini appreciated the support extended by Vidyasagar International School towards Rishabh’s sporting journey. School Chairman Dharampal Yadav said the institution encourages students to pursue sports alongside academics by providing them with necessary opportunities and support.
School Director Deepak Yadav congratulated Rishabh, his parents, coach and the school community, expressing confidence that he would deliver a strong performance on the world stage.
