Ministry of Women and Child Development Announces New Helpline Number for POSHAN and PMMVY
Simplified and Easy-to-Remember Helpline for Beneficiaries
The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, 24 October 2025 — The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has announced a new toll-free helpline number — 1515 — for the POSHAN and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) schemes. The new number will become operational from November 1, 2025, replacing the existing 14408 helpline.
According to the Ministry, the new number has been introduced to make it easier for citizens to remember and access support services under the government’s flagship nutrition and maternity benefit programmes. The change is aimed at enhancing user convenience and accessibility across the country.
During the integration phase, callers may experience a short transition period. In case the new number (1515) is temporarily unavailable, users are advised to continue using the current number 14408 until the switch is fully completed.
The helpline will continue to function as a central point of contact for all queries, information, and assistance related to POSHAN and PMMVY. The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring seamless communication and uninterrupted support for women and children under these vital welfare schemes.
