The Impressive TimesPanchkula: A 23-year-old nursing officer was found dead under suspicious circumstances at the Civil Hospital in Panchkula, triggering an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Officials said the woman, originally from Hisar, had completed her shift on Sunday evening when a colleague reportedly found her unconscious inside the hospital’s changing room. She was rushed to the ICU but could not be saved.
Early findings have pointed to a syringe mark on her arm, while sources said her mobile phone was missing when she was discovered, adding to questions surrounding the case.
Police said no external injury marks were found during the preliminary examination, and investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage while forensic teams examine evidence collected from the scene.
Authorities said the case appears to be a suspected suicide at this stage, though no final conclusion has been reached. No FIR has been registered so far, and the family has not made allegations against anyone, police added.
A medical board has reportedly conducted the postmortem, and officials said the cause of death will be clearer once the report is received.
