Union Minister Ravneet Singh to flag off new weekly Firozpur–Hazur Sahib Nanded Express

New train service to boost connectivity for Sikh pilgrims and ease travel between Punjab and Maharashtra

New Delhi, 12 June : Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh, will flag off a new weekly express train from Firozpur Cantt Junction to Hazur Sahib Nanded on June 13, 2025. This direct train service is set to provide a major boost to Sikh religious tourism by connecting Punjab with the revered Hazur Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded, Maharashtra.

Train number 14622/14621 will cover a distance of 2020 km, improving long-distance connectivity between Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The train will benefit pilgrims, students, workers, and senior citizens by offering an affordable and convenient travel option.

The Firozpur–Nanded Weekly Express will depart every Friday at 1:25 PM from Firozpur Cantt and reach Nanded at 3:00 AM on Sunday. On the return journey, it will depart from Nanded at 11:50 AM on Sunday and arrive at Firozpur on Tuesday at 4:30 AM. The train will halt at key stations including Bathinda, Rohtak, Delhi Safdarjung, Mathura, Agra, Bhopal, and Bhusaval.

This service not only enhances religious tourism but is also expected to stimulate trade and regional connectivity by easing freight and passenger transport.
