Lucknow, June 12: Reaffirming his government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will disburse Rs 20.78 crore in aid to 431 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana in Ambedkar Nagar on June 13. Launched in 2019, the scheme provides up to Rs b5 lakh assistance to families of farmers facing accidental death, or disability. At the event, 408 families will receive Rs 5 lakh each, while others will get varying amounts, with all payments made via DBT.
So far in the financial year 2025–26, the scheme has approved 11,690 applications across all 75 districts of the state. A total financial assistance of Rs 561.86 crore will be disbursed under the scheme this year.
