PM Modi Begins Gujarat Visit with Grand Roadshow in Vadodara

Gujarat, 26 May:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day visit to Gujarat on Monday, May 26, with a grand roadshow in Vadodara, receiving an enthusiastic welcome from thousands of supporters. Arriving at the Vadodara airport around 10 a.m., PM Modi was greeted by a sea of people lining the streets to cheer him on and congratulate him for the success of India’s recent ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan.

The Prime Minister held a nearly one-kilometre-long roadshow from the airport to the Air Force station, with people waving flags, showering flowers, and chanting slogans in support of his leadership. Security was tight along the route, and cultural performances added to the celebratory atmosphere. The roadshow set the tone for a power-packed two-day tour filled with inaugurations and public events.

According to an official release, PM Modi is scheduled to participate in major events in Dahod, Bhuj, and Gandhinagar, where he will launch and lay foundation stones for development projects collectively worth ₹82,950 crore. These projects span across sectors such as railways, water supply, housing, energy, and urban infrastructure, underlining the government’s commitment to fast-tracking Gujarat’s growth.

In Dahod, PM Modi will inaugurate the Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop and flag off two new train services—the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express and the Valsad-Dahod Express—via video conferencing. These trains are expected to improve connectivity and boost tourism in key regions of the state.

Later in Bhuj, he will unveil projects focusing on solar energy, port development, power transmission, and road construction. These initiatives, valued at over ₹53,000 crore, are expected to benefit multiple districts, including Kutch, Jamnagar, and Junagadh.

On Tuesday, PM Modi will continue his engagements in Gandhinagar, including a roadshow and inauguration of development schemes worth ₹5,536 crore. He will also dedicate over 22,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and launch Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront project.

The Prime Minister’s visit is seen as a major push for infrastructure and public welfare in Gujarat ahead of upcoming electoral and development milestones.
