On ‘Veer Bal Diwas’, CM Manohar Lal paid homage to martyrdom of the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

The Chief Minister offered prayers at the historic Gurudwara Chathi Patshahi and joined in the Guru Shabd Kirtan

Chandigarh, December 26 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal has urged the citizens to embrace the virtuous teachings of our Gurus and join hands in making collective contributions for the betterment of the nation and society.

The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering following his participation in the ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ program held at the historically significant Gurudwara Chathi Patshahi in Kurukshetra district. On this occasion, Sh Manohar Lal actively engaged in the spiritual practices of Ardaas and Guru Shabd Kirtan.

In paying solemn homage to the martyrdom of Zorawar Singh Ji and Fateh Singh Ji, the Sahibzadas of the tenth Guru of the Sikh sect, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ dedicated to them, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal highlighted the supreme courage displayed by these valiant Sahibzade in opposing the oppressive Mughal rule and choose martyrdom over religious conversion. The unparalleled bravery exhibited by them stands as a timeless inspiration for generations to come.]

The Chief Minister highlighted that the tenth Patshah, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, dispatched Baba Banda Singh Bahadur from Nanded Sahib to confront the Mughal oppressions in Northern India. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur organized a formidable army in Khandaseri village and subsequently extended his influence to Bhiwani, Hisar, and Tohana. His relentless efforts led him to Samana, where he decisively enemies. Emphasizing the importance of following the path illuminated by the Gurus, the Chief Minister urged all to contribute to the well-being of the country and society.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s decision to declare their martyrdom day as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ has effectively brought their narrative of sacrifice to every corner of the country and the world. The 26th December, marking their martyrdom day, is now commemorated annually as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’, symbolizing a day of remembrance and tribute to their courage and sacrifice.

On this occasion, MP Sh Naib Singh Saini, MLA Sh Subhash Sudha, Chairman and members of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee were also present.
